My Theme was a golf theme all the way!!!
We got married at Harmony Creek Golf Course in Oshawa, on the 9th hole. Our party favours were golf balls in a cube and on the front had a picture of a bride and groom and on the back was our first names and our wedding date We had a 3 tier white cake with white golf balls all over it. and tees surrounded the cake and it rested on green astroturf.
The centre pieces were rose bowls filled with water and a floating candle, in the bottom was green stones with a golf ball and golf tees and on the golf tees was our names and the wedding date.
To have the groom and bride kiss during dinner the guests had to put into a putting machine and get it in the hole.
It may sound corny to some, but it really reflected who we are and our guests had a blast and said it was one of the better weddings they have been to in a while. That is all you want for your guests to enjoy themselves.
Oh and our ringbearer carried a mini golf bag down the aisle that had fake rings hanging from it.

me and dayna really did not have a theme..although our honeymoon was spent in a 100 year old bed and breakfast all renovated right on the ocean at peggys cove with possibly the most visited lighthouse in the world almost in the yard with a lobster supper the previous night..wrapped in history...if you like that corny stuff...ha ha

We were married in 2000.... The mellimium (sp) Everything was navy and silver.
We were married outside by my family Priest. ( We couldnt get married @ the church as hubby would not convert. ( He is Jewish!)
Our reception was indoors at the Ramada Don Valley ( we were married in their gardens outside) In what used to be an old club in the basement in the 80's. It was beautiful. We decorated it with hundreds of clear xmas lights.
My hubby at the time worked part time as a DJ, so the DJ company all came and took turns being the MC and DJ's and also did our wedding video.
It was truely amazing!

We had a garden theme. Married at Parkwood and our cake was designed as a garden. It was a fun wedding. We had a mix of Ukranian music so our entire reception joined in the dances.

We had a golf theme also. It was kind of cool because instead of numbering the tables we used golf words and one of Ken's friends had just opend his own golf course so we named his table the name of his golf course.
We got married at Fantasy Farm in Toronto. It was awesome and I really liked that everything from the ceremony, pictures and dinner was all at the same place. Can't believe that it will be 7 years this July.

Oh that is so neat that you had a golf theme wedding as well. Yes We had the ceremony, pictures and reception all at Harmony Creek Golf Course.
I loved that too, and we stayed at the Holiday Inn across the street so all we had to do was walk across afterwards, which was even better.

I love the idea of the putting green for kisses Aidensmom...very cool We did the easy breezy wedding...Outdoors on a deck..reception was indoors in a log cabin setting . Our head table was infront of a huge walk around firelplace that was lit....twinkly white lights around the log rafters....and the on walll where the deck was , was all french doors and they were lit up too. It was really laid back. I had alot of "big" boys there so we actually did a buffet style (60 guests) and they could eat all they wanted and when they wanted. All my aunts and east coast in laws made all the desserts for the dessert table. It was fun. No one was bored and I didn't stress one bit!

If it is any consolation.....I have atleast 4 couple friends who have been together for over 15 years and have kids and they just don't see the point of marriage! They all have enough money to but don't want to. If you have been living together for 4 years and have kids..you are already married.

yeah I agree, if you live together and have kids, or even if you don't have kids, you are married! It is only a piece of paper and a ring on your finger, it doesn't change anything.
