What kind of restaurant is it Karen it sounds like East Indian type..always wanted to try some of their dishes but afraid it might be too spicey with my stomach issues..
I want spice and flavourful food again..

have you ever gone to the Elephant and Castle in Toronto couchpotato? We liked that restaurant, we went to the one at Gerrard and Yonge I think? I've been a few times to it. Lately it has become packed with the ryerson/young professionals crowd. Very busy on friday nights now, hard to grab a table. Jen and i usually prefer quieter places when we go out.

Never cared for Milestones and I have been there (one out in Markham) about 3 times and it has never impressed me.
We like the Keg but only go occasionally. We usually go to the Mongolian Grill, Kelseys or Montannas.

Wondering it is the one in Markham that is not up to standards.. My aunt and uncle who both are very picky about their restaurants could not stop raving about it.. and trust me they know their food.. He used to own Zollys and his family ran Lil Bo Peep back in the hay day and he has been in the restaurant business since..
Ok anyone else been and have an opinion? Be nice to know what others thought and to hear what they liked and disliked..

My Favorite by far is Fazios, downtown Oshawa. A real diamond in the rough. So not what you would expect to find, given it's location. The food is fantastic, and the ambiance is great. You pay for it dearly though. It's definitely a special occasion kind of place, anniversary maybe...

Well, I live 450 miles south of you, but I have been around.... My all-time-favorite place to eat is Zinns Bistro in Port Perry...they have a wonderful Martini menu and the food is always good...they make the BEST caeser salad I have ever had....***** El Stavros in Oshawa has a killer prime rib sandwich.....enjoy with a cold beer or glass of wine....***** There is a restaurant at a pier in Ajax, its fantastic, I forget the name... Sapporo Sushi (more than just Sushi) in Scarboro is a must go.... Zacks Sanwiches in Oshawa has the best Falafel and roast beef pitas in all of Durham (tell him you want "Collies Special"....yummm Cheesburger in Paradise on Maui is just way cool.... Blue in Bethlehem, PA is one of the neatest places to eat, the ambience is incredible.....food is decent.... I wish I could remember the name of the Prime Rib place I went in Vegas, it was oustanding, and SUPER cheap, it was off Fremont St... The Crossroads Hotel in Hellertown, PA has the BEST cheesesteak around, dont bother going to Philly.... Wings? They are in Oshawa for sure, REALLY close to Droc....ask him for his opinion..... But, I am a great cook (ask my wife who quit cooking), and I have perfected many a meal based on experiences at restaurants.... I think I make a lot of great meals.....but my house is not as cool as a Tiki Bar in Maui....but its close, I have Tiki torches!!!
