Would u mind meeting here as it would be easier with Matthew? Then we could hop in my van and go to the lake or where ever to walk?

You know depending when you decide to start doing this walking at the lake, I would love to meet up with you guys there, the only problem for me is that I unfortunately have to start back to work in June, however this isn't for sure but I might be taking tuesdays off anyways, have to see how that would work with my schedule and if my boss will let me.
So, yeah I may be in for this walk thing if it is going to happen during the day time and maybe even if I can't get the time off work I can do it for a little while before I go back to work.

We could meet at my house and walk the path. That goes to the lake. Does anyone have a Y membership?

im starting the walking thing now that its getting nicer out. i want to get fit this summer..lol last summer i would take the boys for a nightly walk plus parks during the day. i would walk with you sometime dayna, but the lake is not a good thing for dominick, he is such a water kid that the walk would be a big screaming match and me trying to keep him in a stoller and out of the water. but anytime your heading to a park or something like that, im sure that would be good. im thinking of putting kirk into soccer this summer to. i also have a Y membership too, the kids love it there. you should come one day and be my guest, they are free the first time and the $10 every time after. but i sneak my sister in all the time.

Not sure if you are all aware, but the Oshawa Centre has a walking club. They open the doors to the mall a couple hours before the stores open so that people can walk in a warm/cool enviorenment. There is a table at one end that will keep record of how many times you have walked the length of the mall and then once you have walked a "milestone" distance you get some sort of badge or something. I think the ultimate milestone is having walked across the Canada.
I personally preffer to be outside as well, but if it's raining or snowing, or there is an air quality warning etc, this might be a place for you to go so that you don't miss your walk.
As for the cost, I *think* it's free. There might be some sort of donation thing for the distance tracking table.
Steve
P.S. I'd join you but I get enough walking done at work. LOL!
