I was looking for a recommendation on a video editing program that is available from the net and free. I have a friend who needs to brighten a dark video and is not sure what to use. I have little experience in this so any suggestions will help. Thanks

Sorry, I can't help you here. I really haven't played around much with multi-media.

I'll look it up, though i'm fairly sure that type of program will run you a few bucks if you want a quality dvd backup.

I bought one from Best Buy. Not a bad little program. I think it is called Daazzle or something like that. The only thing is if I caputre the movie from my cam corder in a more condensed file (the large one takes 95% of what is left on my HD and leave me nothing to save my edited film) when I edit say the brightness, contrast, etc it makes the smooth movie choppy. It must reduce the FRAPs for some reason. If I use the pan/zoom option it is fine. I have to go through the help list to see what my options are.
