All our siblings have 2 or 3 children each and when we all just had one we set $50 as a limit for eachothers children. Since we only have one child I know that everyone spends the limit set on her, However I am buying for 2 and 3 children in a family should I be lowering the expected ammount per child? What would everyone else do?

To me it depends on the toys and the child..but i would have a limit that adds up to the $50 limit spent on J
I try and find the perfect toy or gift for each child.. yes I try and keep the gifts around the same price range but sometimes u just happen across THE gift.. but I usually have a 20 $$ limit per..watch for the flyers and talk to the kids.. they will be sure to make it clear what they want..lol

we back on the topic of the amount to spend on the gift. I have the same situation, I have one, but my sister as 3 kids, and hubby's sister has 2kids. I would definitely not spend the $50.00 on each of the kids because then that would be $150.00 and my child gets only 50.00

yes it gets a little out of hand. I know neither of our siblings expect it, I think I just put the preassure on myself, I think this year I will definately cut back.

i know this is a little late now, but you can always think about it for next year..what about drawing names and then set a limit and that way it might be fair and easier? i use to do that with cousins and what not at christmas time.
